Family Trip to St. George. It was a joy being all together with my family. The kids enjoyed being with all of the cousins. This was to celebrate my fathers 80th birthday.
Cute cousins holding hands to go to their sunbeam class.
All doing geo-guessing together of the different places our family has lived or been.
Only in St. George and I guess a number of other places does it work to go swimming and hot tubbing in the middle of winter. The kids went swimming most of us adults didn't want to get in the swimming pool but we enjoyed the hot tub. It wasn't cold outside but it also wasn't warm.
Going for a hike
Just before we left I worked on finishing a stocking for one of Becca's children. I was excited that I was able to finish it just in time for our trip.
Christmas- getting these blocks to make a couch for watching movies upstairs but also to build forts. They have been well used and loved. We also got the projector, this was us watching something on it for the first time. It is big and fun to se things on.
Christmas morning. This is everyone in the morning by the tree and then eating our Christmas cereal. It was a great Christmas. I'm trying to soak in all of these days/ weeks/ years with all six of my beautiful children at home.
Christmas Eve in the evening playing the great Dalmuti... card game where everyone had hats based on their position in the game. We had a dinner with friends prior to this where we went over the Christmas story.
This was us opening their Christmas books from each of their siblings.
I am so proud of this girl. This is a latch hook pillow that she made. It took a lot of time and effort but she stuck with it and made it. (I'm writing this two years later and she started a second one so that her and Maebryn could have similar pillows on their beds. The second one has much more detail and was a much more dificult pillow. She was just a few lines from finishing when she said, "I think I am done with this mom" Maebryn then took it up and finished it. I love seeing their two beds with these pillows on them.
Tara pj and treats. Aunt Tara has started sending us treats with our Christmas PJ's for us to celebrate our special night under the Christmas tree. It is a fun tradition where we get to open our pj's and sleep under the tree and have a treat or a craft as well.
The Civil War museum was a good little museum dedicated to all of these men who gave their life for what they felt was right. We enjoyed being there.
Preschool craft
Alden made Michael's cake for his birthday. He did a great job, it was delicious.
