Above is one of our many puppet shows in Preschool- which is really 2nd grade this year. Below is Maebryn playing outside during recess.
I am proud of this row of stockings above. Some my Grandma Dorthy did when she was alive the others I did. They take a lot of time and work and I was excited that I have everyone's done. There are even two for me because my parents sent my original to me, we use that for guests if we have someone here on Christmas.
Below is the kids playing a card game on a Sunday afternoon. That has become a bit of a tradition to play either a board or card game in the afternoon on Sunday.
Thanksgiving! Uncle Dave went all out and had a number of fun crafts and activities for the kids. We made little snow men and little candles that he is now lighting in the picture. The candles would float on the water. So many fun little things. It was nice to be able to be with them for Thanksgiving. It was a short trip as we just drove in for the day, but it was a great one!
Tara had sent special shirts or outfits for the kids to wear on Thanksgiving. Just on our drive down Uncle Austen said he went to a show or movie where this actor was sitting just a few seats down from him. We thought it was ironic that both boys were wearing a shirt with him on it.
Fun Tara shirts and outfits. We are so blessed to have such an amazing aunt that finds fun shirts and outfits for us.
Below I think might have been the day that a turtle wondered into our yard...but it could have been something else. I am writing this quite a while after the fact. One day we did have a turtle wonder into the yard and the kids sat and watched it for quite a while. You can see that we are working on another wall or laying bricks.
co-op dance class. I was glad that Alden got to be in the dance class and learn some real dancing...not just the sway that they often do at church dances. I hope to figure out a way to have him and my other boys learn more social dance.
Benson and Evan had been really wanting to go to the zoo ever since I took the girls for Maebryn's birthday and had told them about the baby gorilla. We did it for one of their dates. I think it was a win. They both had earned an ice cream from brambs for reading some books so we went to get ice cream afterwards. It was a nice afternoon.
The baby gorilla was still small and playful and was right by the window so we got to sit and watch him for quite a while.
Working on our nature journals or homework in preschool/ 2nd grade.
Sunday dresses
This little ones loves to help in the kitchen. This is her helping daddy most likely make Saturday morning breakfast...maybe his special scones that everyone loves. (I am writing this a couple of years later and she still loves to help. She has her meal once a week and she takes it seriously. She will chop things up for the salad and make sure everything is all set with everything in the meal.)
Sea Quest. We got a special coupon to Sea Quest where it was either free or really cheap. It was over a week time and when we originally went and the line was going throughout the mall so we just went home. I then realized that we didn't have to go on that Saturday, we found time during the week when most people are in school. It was perfect, we almost had the place to ourselves...not totally but close enough.
Camping trip. We always like to take a couple of camping trips each year. This was our Fall trip.
