March

Evan hasn't napped for quite a while but lately he gets tired in the afternoon. He'll often want me to hold him. This was one afternoon, he had me hold him and promptly fell asleep.

Mom's 70th birthday. We decided to surprise my mom by showing up to celebrate her birthday. She had told us all about this play called, Bright Star, we decided to go the night before her birthday while she was working at the show. She was correct, the play was amazing, I cried through most of it, but it was great! 😊

Roslyn came with me on the trip. She was a good little travel buddy. This is her playing in the backyard.
Pictures from that weekend. We worked mostly on the garage and a few other small cleaning projects. It was neat to be all together for a quick trip. (We had everyone but Gavin who had just returned from Belgium.)

Gavin and his family came to visit us the following week at our home in Texas. We're only a few hours away from each other now. The kids all had a great time. It sure was nice to have them.

This was our first Sunday with home church. Roslyn dressed up all cute but I forgot to get a picture until she was tired, so she's not too happy in this picture. Next time I'll have to get a picture sooner in the day.
My wonderful husband reading to the kids at night. They all love story time.
Above is a picture of Evan when he got a special present on our door step from his primary teachers. He loves puzzles and put this together a couple of times right after he got it.
Evan like all of us loves Roslyn and will often asks her to play. I will often see them giving each other hugs.

Church at home has been a beautiful and neat experience. We've enjoyed singing together and having everyone have a part in Sacrament meeting. We've been doing musical numbers each week what has been nice as well.

Alden and Calvin snuggling and taking care of their little sister. It's so neat to see everyone love her and all of their siblings so well.

This is a field of Indian Paintbrush flowers, it's gotten more and more beautiful each day. It is a half mile from my house so I run to this field and home each day so I can get a mile run in. It brings me joy to get to see these flowers.
Evan is 4 years old! He was super excited for his birthday he talked about it for weeks and loved every minute of it when it was here! Evan wanted a chocolate cake with white frosting with m&Ms on top and strawberries.

Roslyn is 2 years old! Since Evan had just had his birthday, she was ready and excited for her day. She would often say, "my birthday", "my presents".

February

We all love this cute girl!
The older boys had all gotten their jurseys from old sports. Roslyn wanted to join in and put one on too.

We loved having Grandma and Grandpa here. They came and spent a week with us.

We went to Mineral Wells state park and went on a good hike. It was nice to get out and enjoy nature.

We also visited a local museum, which was neat.

We've had a few warm days. On the first one we were excited to get out one of Roslyn's fun summer clothes.

Roslyn loves playing the piano and will often sit and play for long periods of time.

Calvin did his holiday on bird watching. We went out to draw the birds. Roslyn brought out her clipboard as well.

One temple morning Roslyn woke up early and was in our bed. I told her how we were going to the temple, she was totally okay with that as long as she had her blanket and books to read.
