August

Calvin always loves holding Roslyn.  Roslyn doesn't always want to be held.  He was excited that she finally let him hold her and wanted a picture of it!

Exercise! I decided that I needed to do something fun and together to start school off.  We decided to have choir...sing a couple of songs and then we do exercises while we count.  It has been a lot of fun.

Evan is super excited to start preschool and really so is Benson.  These boys love playing games.

Putting on bows and bracelets.  It is so fun doing little girl things with my little girl.  She really is a girly girl.  She loves to pick out her bows and really loves to get her nails done. Our little cutie pie.

Our big 8 year old! He was so excited to turn 8 and had gotten his shirt ready to wear weeks in advance.  On the actually day he excitedly put it on first thing in the morning!

One happy boy! He decided to play games most of the day on his birthday. But he was sure a happy boy all day long.

Sunday afternoon working on family search, Alden made it all the way back to Adam and Eve.  It is pretty neat to think that one of my lines goes all the way back! :)

First day of preschool! And Alden's birthday the following day.

Alden wanted to have an ice cream cake, it was fun to have something different. We all had fun celebrating this special day with this boy.

Calvin's baptism! It was neat to see how excited Calvin was for his baptism.  We had talked to him about moving it back a week because Grandma would be in town, but he didn't want to wait! It worked out great to have it when we did.

It was so nice of his cousins (and their parents) to make the long drive to be here for Calvin's special day.

Ron and Tara also made a long drive to be with us.  It was so nice to have them with us and to show them where we live.

Aunt Janice and Uncle Erin also made the drive down and were really helpful in helping us out with the program.  Aunt Janice gave such a nice talk on baptism.

July

Reading with grandpa in our new place in Texas.  It was nice of Grandma and Grandpa to come and help us move out and then help us move in.  They are quite the troopers to go through all of this craziness with us.
Fourth of July!  The fourth came just after we moved here, we had a fun day being together.  In the afternoon we went over to the church for a potluck.  That was nice because it made it so we could get to know a number of people in the ward and it was nice to have a planned something to help us celebrate this special day.  That evening we drove up to the home we are thinking of buying to watch fireworks up there and then came home and did a few sparklers.

Playing at what my kids call the zip line park.  We happened upon this park one day and the boys love it.  I think it is our favorite park at this time.  They had a great time.  Roslyn was sleeping in her car seat and just seemed so cute sitting there.  Once she got out there was a group of girls that flocked around her to play, it was super cute. (She loved all of the attention.)

We are grateful to have the swing set up so that they have something to do in the back yard.  It is nice that they have something to play on.

Sending pictures to say "hi" to Daddy while he was away.  (We moved out here because our home was set to close but Michael had three more weeks of work.  It turned out our home didn't sale until Michael got out here as well, but we are grateful that it did sale and that everything worked out.)

These boys love riding their bikes around the house.  You can see the garbage bag in this picture.  Something that is a little different here is that they don't have trash cans, you just put out garbage bags.

Alden made a bunch of big lego constructions in our time here.  We also enjoyed visiting the library often, everyone loved being part of the reading program and they all enjoyed the story times as well.

One nice Sunday sitting and snuggling with my cute little one!

Later that day going for a walk around the park Michael and I first visited when we came here.  We sat on the swing, fed the ducks, and looked for fish in the pond.  It was a nice afternoon.

Roslyn loves playing the piano, especially when I am giving lessons to anyone! :)

We were excited to here that my Aunt doesn't live to far away.  She invited us over for a fun afternoon.  We had a great time visiting, swimming and eating yummy food.  It was a nice relaxing afternoon.

On a spinning thing at one of the parks.  They give out free lunches at the park, we had a good time visiting to get to know the area by visiting all of these parks and then getting a free picnic lunch!

Starting up school! We started the very end of July but it was more of a finishing up of things we didn't finish last year.  We really got serious about school a couple of weeks later. It was nice to start up early so we could start getting into the swing of things a little bit.
