It's getting cold again...

Well, it has started getting cold again. How I loved it when it warmed up... Alden and I went for lots of walks and spent a lot of time outside. Yesterday was the first day of this cold spell and I wasn't working all day long. I don't know how I planed that but in trying to figure out what to do with myself I started a bunch of projects that I am really enjoying. I started learning new songs on the piano, actually sat down and studied a little calculus, and started making a ABC book for Alden. It ended up being a great day! I will show a picture of the book when I finish.

Sleepy Alden

I am not sure why but little Alden has been really sleepy lately. (Still not sleeping through the night but he has been taking a lot of naps.) It has been nice in a way because I have been getting a lot done at home and have worked more but I do miss his smiling face sometimes. The other day when I went in to check on him he was on his side with his thumb in his mouth, I went to get a picture but he had moved and I took a picture anyways. This is it:)

The Riverwalk and other adventures!

On Saturday Michael and I decided we were going to go for a day trip to a park in Tunica. We had heard that there were lots of signs and that you couldn't miss it. Well we missed it and got lost and ended up at this park. Nobody was there except us and the Police Man. We ate a quick lunch and then left but on our way home we found...

The Riverwalk park. This is where we were originally trying to go. We saw the signs for it on our way home. It was a nice park with a long walkway through some wetlands. We enjoyed taking our stroller out with Alden and going for a nice walk.
In this picture we are trying to see if Alden has fallen asleep. Almost every walk we go on with him in the stroller he falls asleep.
But as you can see he made it through this time. He sure got close to falling off asleep though. In this video I took I had to go through it a couple of times to find a picture of him with his eyes open.

Well that was the end of our adventure of the day. It was a wonderful outing and day at the parks!

These are some pictures of some of the things Alden and I do every day. Everyday we always find time for some music time. Whether it is playing the piano or dancing around the house we usually do something with music. This is him playing the piano.

I have discovered that Alden would enjoy music time even more if he were able to eat the piano. This is him trying to get close enough to eat the piano.

This last picture is just a picture of Alden smiling. He really likes to laugh at just about anything these days so I try to get video of him laughing every now and again. It is always hard because when I pull out the camera he usually stops laughing as he is trying to figure out what is going on.

A Typical Day

I haven't ever put up what happens on a typical day here in Mississippi and last night Michael's mom gave us the idea and so here it is. This is a typical night here at our home. I often forget to put things like this up but one day we will want to know what we did on an average day.Michael usually finds one to two hours each night to study. I am grateful that right now that is all of the studying he needs but I am sure he will need to study more soon.

While Dad studies Alden and I start getting ready for bed. He gets his much loved bath and gets to eat some of his oat or rice cereal.

Later on in the evening Michael always finds time to give Alden some Daddy time. He usually reads Alden a couple of stories before he goes to bed. As you can see Alden is rather tired and ready for bed by this time. (Usually around 9p.m.)

Texas continued...

Alden got some good time with Grandma and Grandpa
While in Texas we celebrated Cathrine's Birthday.
Spent time at Christine's
at at Suzanne's.
Alden loved being with all of his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
We also had a surprise visit from Santa

Our Texas Trip

Well the trip started in Austin where Alden met his aunt Denny for the first time. We had a good time with them and seeing where they live. In Austin I also got to meet 4 nephews and 1 niece for the first time!
On our trip from Austin to Houston we stopped by the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory. We had some good ice cream and got to see how they make all of that great stuff.
All of the cousins in there matching pajamas. Alden was the first grandchild to go downstairs because he is the youngest at the moment.
Christmas morning. It was a great Christmas, Alden had fun opening his presents and it was fun to be there with so much family!
