December 2025

This was a day after school when we had brought Calvin for track practice. His coach wasn't there so I wasn't sure if he was having practice so I we walked over to check on him. I felt bad for Roslyn and Benson as it was very cold. We quickly walked around seeing the lights, checked in with Calvin and ran back to the van to get warm.

Above is our tree just after Tara sent our Christmas PJ's. She always wraps her presents so nicely. Below is the girls and I at the nutcracker. One of my violin students was in it and it worked out perfectly that we got to go see it,

I can't remember what this dinner was but we decided to make it fancy by pulling out the nice plates and having the little tea cups with apple cider in them. Actually this was the night of sleeping under the Christmas tree. I think we also had rolls which was special.

Opening up our gifts from Tara. The kids always look forward to opening their presents from Tara, trying on their new Christmas PJ's and sleeping under the tree.

We went and saw the Christmas lights in our Christmas PJ's. It was a beautiful night.

Tara also sent a fun craft for the kids, they worked on it while we watched a couple of Christmas movies.

Sleeping under the Christmas tree and then below is Roslyn with the snowman she made.

Uncle Andrew got here a few days before Christmas. The kids have been counting down the days until Andrew came. They love having him here. They love the stories he tells and the books he reads and just the fun person he is.
Pictured above are some of the stuffed animals of Benson and Evan. They had written a note to the elves that their animals would like to come to the party at the doll house, so the elves left a note saying they were heading up in this doll vehicle to pick them up. Benson and Evan put them in the vehicle and then attached the box with a string so that everyone could be pulled. I thought it was the cutest thing. (They know it's just me writing the notes, at least I'm pretty sure they know that, but they really get into it.)
Below was us going to see the new Fort Worth temple. It is getting really close to being done. I think their is a chance it could be done this summer and hopefully opened up for use this Fall.

This is us visiting Robyn. Maebryn took a bunch of pictures while we were there. We love the door cling she put in her window. It is beautiful especially with the light coming through.

A beautiful Christmas morning. It was nice to have both Andrew and Austen here to celebrate with us.

The girls got these canvas's and painted them in the afternoon. We got this pickleball net and kit, the kids loved going out and playing, the weather was perfect for it as well.

The day after Christmas we had our cousins from Guyana come and visit. It was a joy to be able to have them over.

They played lots of games and below is the jumping crew. They jumped for 7 hours one day. We were all amazed when we realized how long they all jumped.

Come follow me just before church on Sunday.

We decided to bring the birds down stairs during the Christmas season. Below is a soup I made with my friend Maria who is from Venezuela. It was really nice of her to show me how to make it and then let me take it all home. We had soup for a couple of meals and I froze some for a couple of other meals as well. It was delicious.
