March

March was a wonderful month celebrating birthday's, Roslyn's baptism and having my parents come visit.

Above was when I took my parents to see the school that I teach at. Below was Roslyn's birthday celebration.

I caught this because I love the relationship these two have. It used to be that they did everything together when they shared a room. Now Evan spends most of his time with Benson and Roslyn with Maebryn but every now and again they sit down together or play together. They both have such sweet, kind and peaceful ways of doing things, it's fun to see them work together.

Evans birthday. We celebrated both of their birthday's early as they each wanted to celebrate over the weekend rather then on busier days. We celebrated Evan's on Friday. He had a very yummy cheesecake.

Above is a statue that my mom sent where the head was all broken...at first I thought I would just get rid of it but then decided I better try to put it together. It actually ended up working out well. I thought of symbolism with it as well. The child is perfect but the mom is broken, far from perfect but at the same time she is able to help the child learn, grow, and progress in beautiful ways.

Below is Calvin receiving his next award in Civil Air Patrol. This one is a more advanced award and one that Michael had us both go to. I was glad I was able to be there and that Michael encouraged us both to go.

Above is a Saturday in March where I watched the children at the school while a fundraiser was done for the school at a golf course. I think it all went well. I was able to get a number of things done for school and catch up on some journaling and I did enjoy the time with the kids. Roslyn and Maebryn had a great time. Below was a day during spring break when we had a couple of friends come over to play.

Moving the mulch. It is amazing how much mulch it is. I knew it was a lot but I didn't realize how far it would go. Things are really looking good back in the yard, it will make it so Michael doesn't need to do as much weed whacking. I just need to plant lots and it will be beautiful.

We also have been working around the pool. I spend a lot of time weeding here when really it is just rocks, so we put down the thick weed barrier in hopes that we won't have to weed it for a while.

The girls reading to each other at night. Below was a trip to the Abliene Zoo during Spring Break. The kids really do love the zoo. This trip it was neat for me to see and realize how much Benson and Evan know about all of these animals. Sometimes they would tell me about the animal and then I would read the plaque that basically would say the same things.

One project I did during Spring break was I cleaned out my closet. The girls helped me organize all of my dresses and skirts. I love that it looks so much nicer and is easier to find things.
Below was a petting zoo that they did at the library that we went to again during Spring Break. I had never seen so many people at the library before.

Maebryn will often bring home this many pictures and crafts from school some days it is like this and then others there isn't anything but she really is becoming quite the artist and she loves to draw but I can't keep them all so I try to snap a picture from time to time.
One of my piano students loves the birds and I have been amazed that they will actually land on her hands, many others they won't.

Playing outside. The weather has been perfect many of the days lately...changes daily. Sometimes hot and sometimes cold.

The girls when to a birthday party at a piano students of mine, it was so well done on the Wizard of Oz. The mom had her brothers dress up as the different characters at different stations of an obstacle course.

This was a double date with the girls to the park and to Rosa's. They had been wanting to go to the park and it worked out perfect that we could just do it as a double date with them.

My mom for her birthday had asked everyone to do a cleaning project. There had been a large pile in the garage for quite a while, lots of little things I wasn't sure what to do with, anyways I finally tackled it. It feels o nice not to have to walk around that pile anymore.
