First half of July - Michael's Family Reunion

Visiting Aunt Tara and Uncle Ron. We love this couple so much and it was such a pleasure to go visit them and be in their home. We used to live by them when we were in Mississippi and she was such a blessing and a help as I navigated becoming a mother and dealt with different challenges then. She now still sends joy to our home often. Being in her home again was such a joy and blessing.
Tara has this amazing ability to make everything so fun and exciting.  The watermelon was shaped into stars, the veggies were on little pepper train cars, the lemonade poured from a fish that gurgled. (I really loved the fish, every glass was so much fun to pour, we probably had extra lemonade just to hear the fish.) She then had all sorts of prizes and things for the boys.  Seemed like every few minutes she had another surprise.
I loved the disguise glasses! She had a pair for each of us and we took a family picture in our glasses. I couldn't find it as I was uploading these photos but I'll have to get it on here at some point.  It is one of my favorite pictures.  Tara later sent us a card with the picture on it and it hangs in our home. It reminds me to take in the little moments and to treasure this time.

Reunion at the lake.  Michael's family reunion was at this lake.  It was a great place because there were plenty of beds and a huge kitchen to make all of the food for everything and also things to do.

Bridal Shower! While at the reunion we did a little bridal shower to welcome Aunt Natalie. It was fun to have a little time with just the girls in the family and play some games.

Family Picture!

Let's make a deal. It was fun seeing all of the boys play let's make a deal.

Our favorite spot and this was a nice time when Michael and I went and had some time together on this swinging bench as we watched the rain start to fall on the lake.  I sat on this bench a bunch while we were there mostly with our three little ones.  Benson didn't want to get in the water but he sure liked this bench so we made some good memories just sitting and visiting together.

It was fun to see Evan with his cousin.  Him and Henry seemed to get a long really well.

One evening Benson went fishing with Daddy.  They were able to catch a fish and it was a good size one as well..

A quick visit with our other cousins before they packed up their home to move to Belgium.  It was nice to go to there home.  It was so peaceful and layed back after such a busy and full week at the reunion.

It was a hot day but was nice was nice to be all together at the temple.
The reception was beautiful.  Natalie's family came and decorated and did an amazing job!

Sweet little Roslyn back at home.  She is our first thumb sucker.  It has been so cute to see her find her little thumb and has been nice to have a baby that is self soothing.
Below is a picture from a day or two after we got home.  The day we pulled up to our home after our vacation, I was looking around at all of our plants thinking how I needed to water everything but not long after we got in the drive way, the first monsoon came pouring down.  This picture is from the second monsoon a day or two later.  We played out in the rain but it was quite cold so we decided to turn on the fireplace and roast some marshmallows. Our fireplace is only used on Christmas Eve and maybe one or two times in the month of January and now if we have a really good monsoon in July! :)
We got home from the reunion just in time for
This was a lizard we got in our pool.  We usually get a few lizards throughout the summer...usually none of us want to touch them but this brave soul came to the door holding one to show me.  (Last summer I tried to dissect one for a science activity but I really wasn't cut out for it.)

I took this picture of some weeds in our front yard, I was just impressed at their ability to work together to push this chunk of stuff up so that they could receive their needed light.
