January (25)

Cleaning out the pond on a warm day in January. It had gotten were we couldn't see anything and just felt like we needed to clean it out for the fish. We had lost a couple of fish and thought maybe that is why. The sad thing was that right after we cleaned it we lost over ten fish in one night. I don't think they had a place to hide so something came and ate them. We didn't see many remains but one or two fish heads.

Friday art day. We just started a water color class which I have really been enjoying. We did a water color contest and the kids won a nice set of water color paints to use for the class.

Above is pictures from the Casa Manana show that we went to and below is a fairy garden Roslyn was outside playing in.

This was an art day that we did with friends when the older boys were gone at the temple with friends.

Preschool making our carrot candy cars. A craft all made up on my own. :) We use icing to decorate carrots to make them look like cars. The usually use smarties as wheels but I also have a few other candies that they can use to decorate.

Above and below was the kids putting on a puppet show in preschool.

I'm thinking that this was one of Evan's meals. He had made a nice salad to start us off.
Below was at the beginning playing with the kitchen.

One day the girls were going around with these cushions. I the realized that they were their horses that they were riding, they had even made saddles for them and hair with their blankets.

Above and below are both pictures from co-op. Below is Maebryn's little preschool class. She has done a little bit better about going this year. In the past she mostly just wanted to stay with me. Above is our animal class where we were learning about horses different ways to walk or trot patterns with legs and feet...the kids were trying to do the different pattern.

Above is Michael reading to the kids at night while Calvin is working on his math assignment. Below is the preschool kids doing geoboards.

The kids were really excited about this carrot as most of the carrots we get are small but this one was quite large. We have enjoyed having a winter garden.

Above is one of our first temple trips. It was Benson's first time doing baptisms for the dead and it was Alden's first time performing the baptisms. We have it set up to go to the temple twice a month with some friends of ours. I will take them once a month and their mom takes them the other time each month. Our kids go to each others house and play and do a little activity while the older ones are at the temple. Below was us making our stick Unicorns for letter U.

It was cold so this was the snowman that Maebryn and I made. It was a cute little guy that didn't take very long to make.
In early January we got snow! It was just enough to play in and to play with. If I remember right this was the time we got really good packing snow so it was good for snowballs or for snow men.

Below is doing Maebryn's hair with her new hair clip that she got for Christmas. Above is Roslyn playing with the goats. We enjoyed having them for a little bit at our house.
