Reunion for my side of the family. We stayed at Austen's ranch home while others stayed at this airbnb in the mountains. Everywhere was beautiful, it was nice to see all of the green.
This was actually on our drive back home, we stopped by a park, and a botanical gardens. We had planned on spending the night somewhere but ended up driving the whole way which was nice.
Back at home with our cousins. Above is Roslyn working on her pillow. Below is all the girls playing dollhouse together.
We did diamond art and had a princess tea party.
And of course everyone's favorite, story time with Uncle Andrew.
Aunt Becca did the girls hair super cute!
Painting bird houses together
Maebryn loves to help daddy in the kitchen. This is them making granola. Below is our backyard, things are starting to come together. Often when I look at our yard day to day, I just see so many things I need to do or work on but as I look at pictures or that there is almost always a flower in the backyard somewhere, I realize that it is beautiful and has come a long way.
A typical and nice summer day.
These are a number of random pictures that one of my children took. I kept them because it makes me feel that on the random moment our house is generally clean, obviously the counters aren't perfectly clean but the floor is clean and things in order. Random pictures are often a more accurate description of how things really are.

The pictures didn't all end up in order. These are pictures from my family reunion. We went on a carousel, it had been a long time since we had, possibly Maebryn's first. Below was a hike we took, it was beautiful being out in nature with such great temperature and beautiful surroundings and great company. This was actually on our drive back home, we stopped by a park, and a botanical gardens. We had planned on spending the night somewhere but ended up driving the whole way which was nice.

Back at Uncle Austen's farm making rolled ice cream. It was a fun treat. My kids have been doing no sugar, they started in early May, so it was especially a treat as they could make it with just milk, maple syrup and blueberries. Austen's blueberries were in full bloom, so we ate blueberries to our hearts content and picked and picked. It was wonderful.
Riding Ginger, Austen's miniature horse. The kids all loved it. Austen got rid of the horse not long after this, as it was a lot of upkeep with illnesses ect. But we all enjoyed meeting and getting to ride her when she was there.
Working on building a bench/ table. There were a couple of these so a number of the kids got to work on them. They are one of those tables that can turn to a bench or stay a table.
Running around the yard playing with cousins. It was a wonderful time for everyone.
All gathered together for Come Follow Me lesson after church.
Above is the girls all ready for bed at Uncle Austen's place. Below is having a picnic lunch just after church. We got to the area in just the right time to see "Music Man" my brother and his kids were in. My brother and two of his sons were three in the quartet. We are glad that we made it to see the play!
Doing sand art together. I had brought a couple of little crafty things and this was one of them. My kids always enjoy sand art, it was fun to do together with cousins.
Michael's family reunion at the Great Smoky Mountains. This was the reunion that we were in charge of, I think we all think it went really well. It was nice because we were able to do this reunion and then go to my family reunion the very next day and catch the play Nathaniel and the kids were in. It was nice having them so close together. Below is a little beach that was near the place where we stayed.
Family pictures. I love the very green backdrop, it really worked out well. You can't tell from the pictures but the only problem was that it was hot and humid but other than that it was great. Below is a picture with Maebryn and her older cousin. She loves this cousin and stuck with her like glue. She will still often ask when she will be able to see her. Above is all of my kidos.
At the highest peak in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Playing games together with all of the teen cousins.
Playing water balloon volleyball
The girls all had a princess tea party.
Starting the drive to all of the reunions. We had just picked up Alden from encampment with Civil Air Patrol. This summer was a busy one for him as he had that then these two reunions, then FSY and high adventure. Lots of things but all good ones.
